Six Flags Fright Fest Celebrates 30 Years: New Conjuring, Saw Mazes & More

The Six Flags crew celebrated the 30 year anniversary of Fright Fest at Midsummer Scream over the weekend. Entertainment and Events Manager Michael Ostrom, Prosthetic Designer and Artist Mentor from The Scream Team Scott Ramp, and Six Flags Magic Mountain Entertainment and Events Sr. Creative Supervisor Mark Wing took the stage to reveal more about Fright Fest 2023 at Magic Mountain.

During the panel, the Six Flags team revealed the following haunts would return for the upcoming season.

*Organizers specified that “Truth or Dare” would return, but with a new concept following fan feedback from last season.

In addition to the returning haunted houses and scare zones returning for Fright Fest in fall 2023, Scream Break will return in spring 2024.

The spooktacular lineup of monstertainment includes:

Fear not, little monsters! Kids Boo Fest offers a range of frightfully fun family activities during the day on Fridays through Sundays during Fright Fest, including:

Fright Fest operates on 30 chilling nights including September 8-10, 15-17, 22-24, 28-30, October 1, 5-8, 12-15, 19-22, 26-29, and 31. You can also expect to see a new creepy stiltwalker making his way through the park. Look out for Nightmare, Father of all Monsters, at Fright Fest 2023. Guests at Midsummer Scream got a first look at Nightmare, who crashed the Fright Fest panel.

Whether you’re excited for to experience these new mazes or for your favorites to return, there’s more good news. The 30th anniversary of Fright Fest will feature the most nights of scares ever. The park will host the event across 30 nights between September 8 and October 31.
