The link between Demonocracy and Sun Eater.

After nine long years, Job For A Cowboy has returned with an absolute crusher of a new single "The Agony Of Seeping Storm". The single feels like a great link between the madness of Demonocracy and the prog elements of Sun Eater, and comes alongside a pretty disorienting music video.

So when can we expect a new Job For A Cowboy record? According to vocalist Jonny Davy, it's coming in 2024.

"'The Agony Seeping Storm' gives a slice of our upcoming concept record," said vocalist Jonny Davy of the single. "Regarding the video, the band collaborated extensively with director K. Hunter Lumar (Digital Mile), while our bassist, Nick Schendzielos, co-directed. The concept was inspired by a close friend who embarked on a relentless quest for profound enlightenment through the incessant abuse of hallucinogenic drugs.

"However, as they delved deeper into their religious-like experimentation they began exhibiting symptoms of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. They came to believe that they could access an alternate, esoteric reality through hallucinogenic intoxication, where they encountered gnostic and biblical figures and imagery. These songs reflect their thoughts, ideas, and experiences."

Job For A Cowboy will play their first show since 2016 at the Blue Ridge Rock Festival between September 7 and 10. The festival also points out this is the only Job For A Cowboy show for the foreseeable future, so make sure you're there!

"Reuniting for their ONLY performance for the foreseeable future, Death Metal powerhouse Job For A Cowboy returns to the stage for the first time in 7 years at Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2023!" said festival organizers.

"A name synonymous with heavy music, Job For A Cowboy was a constant on Mayhem Festival, Summer Slaughter, Download Festival, Wacken Open Air and more – becoming one of the largest torchbearers of Heavy Metal in the U.S. The band is rumored to be releasing their first album in 9 years in 2023. Experience this monumental, rare opportunity to see Job For A Cowboy once more at Blue Ridge 2023!"

Cliff Burton forever.

He does look a lot to Steele, though.

"I asked him several times, 'Are you joking? Are you serious?"

"It doesn't sound very musical to me."
